So, what's this blog all about, anyway?

The idea for this blog got its start in April of 2017, when my good friend Juliet told me about a website where you could sign up to get a box of snack food from Japan every month.  (http://www.japancandybox.com/)  As someone who's gone through his fair share of Pocky, I of course jumped at the chance.  And I figured I'd take the opportunity to let other folks know what we thought of the snacks we got.

We shared these snacks around with our friends every week, and noted their reactions to the appearance, taste, and overall quality.  Our reactions to the snacks will be very subjective and are not meant to be an objective indicator of the quality of the snacks themselves.

Some of them have ended up being quite surprising so far.  We hope that you'll stay with us during the coming year for more reactions.  And who knows -- you might discover something really tasty in these pages to come.  I know I certainly have so far.
